Some people like completely screen-based interfaces, but I've been driving for a while and I like seeing rpm, speed, fuel level (or charge level) behind the steering wheel. I also DO like Tesla's center screen, but find it difficult to parse out my current speed even though it is in the top-left corner. Oh well. Actually, the dash in my Subaru is actually a bunch of servos artificially setting mechanical needles, but it works and looks like what I am used to.
